Dr. Caropreso to moderate surgeon panel at conference

Memorial Hospital's Philip R. Caropreso, M.D., will serve as a moderator and panelist during the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma's upcoming “Advances In Trauma” conference, to be held Dec. 7 and 8 in Kansas City, Mo.
Caropreso, a surgeon on staff at Memorial Hospital Surgical Specialist, affiliated with Memorial Hospital in Carthage, is a member of the American College of Surgeons Regional Trauma Committee for Region VII, which includes Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. Dr. Caropreso is chairman of the Iowa State Trauma Committee.
Caropreso will serve as moderator during Saturday, Dec. 8, presentations on “Clearing the Cervical Spine: The Final Word!” by Dr. Roxie Albrecht, “The Latest on Local Hemostatics” by Dr. Peter Rhee, and “Acute Lung Injury: Management in the ICU” by Dr. Gill Cryer. Immediately afterward, Caropreso will serve as a panelist during a “Stump the State Chairs” discussion.
The conference will be held in Kansas City's Westin Crown Center. The conference offers physicians an opportunity to earn continuing medical education credits.
