Girls track teams post wins

Central/Southeastern and Illini West each won a team title last week.

Central/Southeastern

The Lady Panthers won the eight-team Tom Johnson Memorial in Pittsfield.

Katelyn Moore won the 100-meter dash (12.55), 200 (26.33), and won the long jump (16-10) to lead the Lady Panthers to 138 points. Kendra Jennings won the high jump (5-3). Kelsey Taylor won the discus (118-5). The 800 relay team won first place (1:52.03).

Illini West

The Chargers girls track and field team won a pair of state titles at the Illinois Prep Top Times Indoor Meet.

The 800-meter relay team of Danielle Gronewold, Mackenzie Carroll, Tiffany Mohr and Lea Brodie won the Class A race. The 1,600 relay team of Bali Campbell, Mohr, Brodie and Gronewold won first place in the Class A race.

Illini West won the team title at the Lee Calhoun Invitational Meet at Macomb. The Chargers scored 117.5 points to win the eight-team meet.

100 hurdles- 3. Mackenzie Carroll ((17.0); 5. Nicole Blythe (17.8); 7. Danie Courtois (18.0).

300 hurdles- 2. Mackenzie Carroll (52.7); 4. Danie Courtois (54.6).

100- 2. Danielle Gronewold (13.1).

200- 5t. Danielle Gronewold (28.7).

800- 4. Natalie Northup (2:40.4).

1,600- 2. Natalie Northup (5:54.9).

3,200- 1. Natalie Northup (12:39.1); 7. Morgan Merritt (14:51.3).

The 400 relay team was first (51.8), as was the 800 relay team (1:51.7). The 3,200 relay team was third (11:01.3).
